Are School Librarians an endangered species?

After watching the five vodcasts, it seems as if the speakers are in agreement.  The take-home message is…that school librarians are not an endangered species as long as they are able to adapt their vital skills in the use of information to help their students find their way in the world of digital information.  The notion that teacher-librarians are only relevant to a print book era shows that the librarian stereotype still exist and that stakeholders need to be educated in how teacher-librarians can contribute to making our students deliberate and discerning users of information, regardless of the format.  TL’s need to ensure that they remain relevant and real in their roles as information specialists.
